urobots were selected, among twelve startups, to participate in the Up2B Product Booster program in Heidelberg.

The startups were offered the opportunity to implement pilot projects – within three weeks – based on real-life challenges from major companies (ABB, KSB, IDS, etc). As part of the program, the startups participated in workshops to learn about UX/UI, regulations, marketing and optimizing products for market readiness.

Although we did not win, we were the only startup to complete the task on time! Our challenge was to create a prototype of an app for auditing plant operations and health & safety standards for KSB, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pumps and valves. To perform an audit, the user only needed to take a photo of a ‘problematic situation’. The app not only created a new audit entry automatically, it also searched for similar existing entries to use as a template. As part of the solution, we provided an AI-based similarity-matching proof of concept.
